My name is Melissa Henbest. I am a postdoctoral resident working under the supervision of Dr. Jill Breitbach, Psy.D., ABPP, and Dr. Jeff Meech, Psy.D., as I complete my postdoctoral hours toward licensure as a clinical psychologist.

I currently conduct psychological evaluations to help clarify diagnoses and provide referring providers with greater insight in order to support informed and effective evidence-based treatment planning. These evaluations are completed under the supervision of Dr. Jill Breitbach, a neuropsychologist, who is guiding my continued development of expertise and clinical competence in this area.

In addition to assessment work, I am a practicing psychotherapist and operate under my private practice, Olivine Wellness. I obtained my LCPC and LMHC credentials in order to provide therapeutic services while completing my doctoral training. My therapeutic approach is integrative, drawing from Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), and Cognitive Processing Therapy (CPT), with a strong foundation in Psychodynamic Theory. I am also certified in Cognitive Processing Therapy (CPT) and specialize in helping individuals alleviate trauma-related symptoms. I supervise my therapy cases with Dr. Jeff Meech.

My clinical background includes pre-internship and internship experience as a psychometrist under the supervision of Dr. John Wolfe, PhD. where I conducted neuropsychological assessments with elderly populations. My academic training includes a Bachelor of Science in Psychology from the University of Idaho, a Master of Science in Applied Psychology, and a Ph.D. in Clinical Psychology from Walden University. I am a Licensed Clinical Professional Counselor (LCPC) in Idaho and a Licensed Mental Health Counselor (LMHC) in Washington.
